Phoenix Children's doctors make "Best Doctors in America" list
Nearly 140 of the physicians on Phoenix Children's Hospital Medical Staff have been named to the prestigious Best Doctors in America® 2007-2008 Database.
The Best Doctors database is built on recommendations from physicians who nominate their peers for the recognition.
"We're growing to meet the needs of this community and an essential part of that growth involves recruiting some of the best and brightest physicians in the country to make sure we're providing this state with world-class pediatric care," said Bob Meyer, President and CEO of Phoenix Children's. "This honor shows we've done an outstanding job of building our team, and we are so proud of the outstanding physicians at this Hospital."
Among the list of "Best Doctors" are three new physician leaders at Phoenix Children's.
Murray Pollack, MD, MBA, the Hospital's new Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Medical Affairs, is a nationally recognized physician leader who arrives at Phoenix Children's after a nearly 30 year career at D.C. Children's.
Lee Segal, MD, the new Dr. Tim Louis Endowed Chair and Division Chief of the Department of Orthopaedics at Phoenix Children's, most recently led the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine/The Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa.
A.D. Jacobson, MD, the new Section Chief of Ambulatory Pediatrics, is a highly regarded general pediatrician who has practiced for more than 30 years in our community.
